Being a mom is pretty time consuming and Lily is so much more active that by the end of the day all I want to do it put my feet up and veg! So by now (2.5 months since my last post) so much has changed. Month 8 was a big month for Lily, from one day to the next baby girl was crawling, laughing, waving bye-bye, and she got her 2 bottom teeth! She's such a big girl now. She's also just started clapping, using one baby finger to point at things, and trying to stand on her own! She has been scaling on EVERYTHING and ANYTHING she can pull her self up on. We sing a lot more and she loves "the itsy-bitsy spider", sometimes if she's eating and doesn't want to open her mouth all I have to do is start singing it and she opens wide like a baby bird! Hilarious! She also does the cutest thing where she scrunches her noes and breaths in and out...doesn't sound that cute, but we call it "viejitos". HAHAHA...it's a mexican thing!<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh5F7gcAFAaf1_YYKRxwmZrH6KZAWSO7bnZ2dqt69HteHP4tlNXB38c1INHvylVo4TL_2Z0I4BIWwLMkU0X8IU2OdsiUsmlUdzoCF16rjvWRNSYcfwEt4teZC1N5E-6MNZd4vGaxMIDLy0/s1600/teeth.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh5F7gcAFAaf1_YYKRxwmZrH6KZAWSO7bnZ2dqt69HteHP4tlNXB38c1INHvylVo4TL_2Z0I4BIWwLMkU0X8IU2OdsiUsmlUdzoCF16rjvWRNSYcfwEt4teZC1N5E-6MNZd4vGaxMIDLy0/s320/teeth.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5457445623024715730" border="0" /></a><br /></div><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><div style="text-align: left;">We also recently started attending classes at The Little Gym with Jill and Braden! I used to work at one in Austin so I was nervous to take her to the one here. I was scared I would pull a "typical monica" and try to take over, but the staff and instructors are awesome! I had no problem sitting back and enjoying the class with Lily. She's becoming so independent and brave! She crawled through this tunnel all by herself!<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhhmtR1Y3D-tE4g0jRplRoW7v1FVmkw0Izf883eLVqhN69IEIKeIpnekJHJtibOmGrOMgENwGgw0oiswxDEMAjUgInIosDfKLafe4kSwsFfREcC0Ep-P1DsSWk8S-aBoCs4hM_JWgAQ0WU/s1600/tlg.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhhmtR1Y3D-tE4g0jRplRoW7v1FVmkw0Izf883eLVqhN69IEIKeIpnekJHJtibOmGrOMgENwGgw0oiswxDEMAjUgInIosDfKLafe4kSwsFfREcC0Ep-P1DsSWk8S-aBoCs4hM_JWgAQ0WU/s320/tlg.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5457447813643597394" border="0" /></a></div><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhqFAG1CJjODTSIYdLaxPYK5O84_MtHELwJEwLT6TXwglb0v4Eo9DOzxudniqVemmeU7uvmo4T2IiW5Mb6Eyq70_U-jWvp4WzIGCS9GYVNv97dy-sGCuAnjjFTdpdBVy1Yf21nVMV5d9KI/s1600/tunnel.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhqFAG1CJjODTSIYdLaxPYK5O84_MtHELwJEwLT6TXwglb0v4Eo9DOzxudniqVemmeU7uvmo4T2IiW5Mb6Eyq70_U-jWvp4WzIGCS9GYVNv97dy-sGCuAnjjFTdpdBVy1Yf21nVMV5d9KI/s320/tunnel.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5457445638381999026" border="0" /></a><br /></div><br />When Lily turned 9 months I took her to take some portraits, but professional pictures are no longer as easy as when she was newborn - 6 months. I feel like I always talk about how "crazy" it is that she's getting bigger and stronger, but it really is just that. Sometimes I look at her and I can hardly remember holding her when she was tiny! She's about 18.5lbs. now!!! That's more that double her birth weight!!! Yesterday she stood up all by herself in her crib. I left her for just a minute sitting in her crib and when I came back she was standing. It took me a minute to remember if I had left her like that! I took a video! She's beginning to babble NON-STOP! Mornings and nights are her chatterbox times. She also sticks out her tongue a lot and when she eats she moves her jaw like if she's chewing. It's hilarious! Another new thing we are doing is weaning :( Yes, I know...it's sad. I wanted to go a little longer, but now that Lily is staying for extended hours with her father, she needs to be able to drink from a bottle. The only problem is she despises the bottle. At first I though it was the...formula...but she wont even take B milk from a bottle. I've tried all kinds of different bottles, but NOPE! It's so tough! All I can do is keep trying...wish us both luck! <div><br /></div><div>Here's a little video of Lily Bean taking a stand!</div><iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.blogger.com/video.g?token=AD6v5dxYoQvebBTCa8yq-F1BnXn37RRGMRtZqGUZpdvgN4_BSrXNp3XzhgbGWP1vFj7VpH5-ysom597ovLf23ZBxDg' class='b-hbp-video b-uploaded' frameborder='0'></iframe>MonTheMomhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08144234631061487641noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7843611325483495265.post-26659225013299857202010-01-04T20:20:00.000-08:002010-01-04T20:37:28.201-08:00Solids<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEibMOnjFHAxsm89pxfH7VahAeZK6LwP-GyN4CH6OEmKLgjvmA1DSCC8WBA8hj43NteDrlUxJMh4TOAHNoputsYtm-JcuN8Zw8xRPNtx2ZMTnicFS3umYRXiRlhNcxL_OThUo3HLXKOkNyk/s1600-h/2010-01-04+22.21.30.jpg"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEibMOnjFHAxsm89pxfH7VahAeZK6LwP-GyN4CH6OEmKLgjvmA1DSCC8WBA8hj43NteDrlUxJMh4TOAHNoputsYtm-JcuN8Zw8xRPNtx2ZMTnicFS3umYRXiRlhNcxL_OThUo3HLXKOkNyk/s320/2010-01-04+22.21.30.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5423110153426808306" /></a><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div>Lily is finally eating solids! I had started her right at 6 months, but into her 2nd veggie she got sick so I decided to stop until she was better. I didn't think she would enjoy it or be able to taste her yummy foods. So far she's had sweet potatoes, green beans, and peaches. She just finished up her 4 days of peaches. Next up, butternut squash! I've been making her food for her (not the peaches, Jill made those). Today I made butternut squash, peas, and carrots! The peas were yummy, but I feel bad that she's going to have to eat the squash and carrots...yuck! Without some sort of seasoning or delicious butter, it's not so yummy. I've been using the website www.wholesomebabyfoods.com for recipes and helpful hints. When I say "recipe" all I really mean is steaming/baking directions. Anyway, I'm excited to be able to start giving her food, I think she's really ready. She grabs at whatever I'm eating or drinking and sometimes it looks like she's chewing when she's watching me eat. She also got a new high chair from her grandmother Nora, it's super nice! <div><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhtDO5fh8Rfu7VH-6IA4Cu4J4ixjMnhDQcMfx2VxM9UxciP6QwPd_5lgs3ZiNsCho50eiFTTTC49DdtW6jrhc0kGjrrcm7aJmvtMXSbzwmnNalIMhwkyVFFEeXsHm4Q55lD_s820gz2z3I/s320/IMG_0906.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5423109891222132818" /><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg46jSKBs2QVhlz14TnXsy0krZgoeYza3azjRX4w7tH4PXlH9xi1OIYV1wcvjwdHvvFjiiK7QtlWp_yv6LoxpQXaNLYR7AH6AbuvZbpQicJEEYXhU8WxDWSEB4hzF58URjfxP0aZl9siSs/s320/IMG_0897.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5423109887736808626" /></div><div><br /></div>MonTheMomhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08144234631061487641noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7843611325483495265.post-41338659972098415242009-12-26T21:05:00.000-08:002009-12-26T21:23:48.567-08:00Lily's 6 Month Portraits!<div>I forgot to post some of Lily's 6 Month Portraits!!! (no more professional pictures until 9 months!) I feel like we have taken so many pictures of Lily bean, but it's so hard not to! Ok, I lied about waiting until 9 months, she has a photo shoot on Tuesday but only because she's going to be on the cover of the Rio Grande Valley Kids Directory! It's the March cover, but we're shooting it now. She has to wear something "springy", I have a few options...I'm thinking either a shorts/tank outfit or a green polka dot dress...decisions, decisions.<div><br /></div><div>Here are a few of her pictures! I was so excited to dress her up and show her off to family, but with her being sick my plans had to change a little. I didn't want to take her out and have her passed from person to person (germ infested person to germ infested person). She's just starting to get better and I didn't want all of my hard work of sheltering her to be for nothing. Lily's first Christmas was really laid back. We just woke up early and opened gifts. We stayed in PJ's all day long and played with a couple of her new toys. She got so many gifts, it was nuts! I put most of them away and I'll bring them out a couple at a time and put a couple away too. It's just way too much and she doesn't really know the difference. Over all I'm really pleased with the way the day went. I had envisioned "baby's first christmas" very differently when I was pregnant, but at the end of the day it was perfect. A smile on her face and wrapping paper in her mouth :) Just PERFECT! I hear the second Christmas is better because they understand a little better and they get really excited....we'll see. I could never have guessed what this Christmas would be like, so I wont start thinking about next either! Here are some pictures of princess Lily on Christmas morning.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgCyCPaNVSVQ4d9CSl13kY9WExDn9X81yklsF4rCY1sMuzQs7M5Nk2_Wse2xhlaipoy18bQ9kJtjWyYvcUh6GMijBKUJsePoqTZ4YBsOKVM_gGpONsP3wKVgB7bL6JlJTPxxL-cNDiApjc/s320/IMG_0868.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5419775796339227874" /><div style="text-align: center;">Being cozy while we round up her uncles</div></div><div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEghIv5TDrXWjO-G6TTp_8sKnUiRS8FJAPyMs-YqlhL2iWqA2iryjxQyaSeoxlfZuJ5FstezmQtL1aFUfrMNi1nB_bUreXXHdu_1ubV_dlfHmq8hQAQVX7NAdIT_ZPBg3CyEoN65q2tGwyk/s320/20357_1286644653685_1457232276_796028_3846326_n.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5419775792339776210" /><br /></div><div><div style="text-align: center;">The first gift she opened!</div><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgJUjyFPW_8aY0tEHzZ8p8p3HFFDAZmYD0kVng07BiuhnddCeTnUW23LiwpI8yqC8VtQn-PMroIcC0zIxdl66D9h71q6VA7G0_fRk6edPlHdgMD1ZzIrQNbP3Lvc1g_1o5d4XgBCgBzt9g/s320/IMG_0887.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5419775807764710082" /><br /></div><div><div style="text-align: center;">All of her gifts! Well I took her for her vaccines appointment with the doctor and it turns out she was too sick for vaccines. I was pretty sure that was going to happen because she had the sniffles and I know that typically doctors don't give vaccines when baby's immune system is low. What I was NOT expecting is for them to tell me that Lily had a VIRUS! I mean, I guess an illness can be either a virus or a bacteria, but when they told me they were going to test her for the flu virus and the rsv virus, I did not expect either test to come back positive. They swabbed the inside of her nose (painless) and left to run the test. Fifteen minutes later the results were positive for rsv, which is basically a bad bad cold. AAAAAAANNNNNDDDDDDD commence water works....I don't know why I started to cry, but I just couldn't help it. Lily wasn't crying and everything the doctor was saying was very reassuring, "very common", "easy to treat", "she'll be fine", etc. I guess I just wasn't ready to hear that my baby had "tested positive for a virus", those words are just scary. Also I guess I always just assumed that breast feeding created a magical force field that protected her from any illness EVER (I'm only half kidding).</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div>The doctor gave me a decongestant and prescribed a breathing treatment (with a nebulizer). The nebulizer caused me to cry just a little harder. Again, the doctor was very reassuring, "breaks up congestion quicker because it goes straight to the lungs", "only takes about 5 minutes", "common form of treatment". Still though, the fact that I need to treat Lily with a MACHINE, was just too much to handle on top of the whole "baby has a virus". The doctor put his hand on my shoulder and was basically choking back laughter and said, "Everything is going to be OK". I KNOW THIS! I'm just emotional. She's my first baby and it's just overwhelming.</div><div><br /></div><div>That was on Thursday, today is Sunday and she's doing very well. Three days of breathing treatment and it's not as hard or overwhelming as I imagined. She does gag and (depending on if she has a full stomach) spit up after she takes her medicine. I feel bad for her everytime! So, doctor said she would not be herself for 7 - 10 days and her cough could linger up to a week longer. Luckily she has NOT had a fever (knock on wood). Here are some pictures of my Lily bean on her six month birthday.</div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgSXInCX8KWDET6yWhIPm9djC84EyZ1-9qIiL7J8fhCBLRovolVued0fKPaqJHW7kZ2nElb64luYLgsRWJXRQaneilakKxqlhIjOTBH8LPJ79QKPvH-TWqSD0PZ7latbb86oI8Mrp42620/s320/2009-12-17+15.09.07.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5417551878365670738" />Waiting in the lobby for our appointment with the pediatrician...not at all expecting her to have a VIRUS!<br /><div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhZ9kxzp4KTqzDiYWQ244ZBR3WmrM-mUB3HamL_1I-8lame8LuJVPvmTGfHLhMYykxtAMSb_rXzjoYd_vLx_gkbe59Wx5h1Wm30MBTZ5lduRJ7Jecydv_3fDKoj65oE70gvWN0SPoAFZhE/s320/2009-12-17+19.48.06.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5417551879109523058" /></div><div><div style="text-align: center;">My super sick baby before her breathing treatment! Lily learned to sit up on her own, she had her first big holiday, she started solids...she also got her first cold!</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div>The day before Lily turned 5 months she started sitting on her own. I would prop her up and she would stay for a little while. As the month progressed she got much stronger and was able to hold her self up much better. Here are a couple pictures...the beginning of the month and then towards the end of the month.</div><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi8eTn9TI6M0ATxUr4F9zbhYqjn4CjlPM6n8ff3zVgPK3b1UreeNmxF6fu9aoSRRhStplJum8zTD97cuOUcUqmywYPcf8_VwGVpAXKZI5qJf-6KY18zqMD2-tEHyQNMtjZ8Pct9j4pzY5M/s320/IMG_0650.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5415670291910723250" /><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiDiCHxPGZi-86OLB9hD6kuaoRLUhLPtu-41Ldnef2ANZcabTdBnDzv8DlaSEz52wfqZxharO_uMgXl4_5VV3YdqW9cNd1wHTKwbYL9EcMfhl6RItKsQZyYzlQ4ATbXx9RK3PWE8Q4WOJY/s320/15443_1272458768115_1129260299_867757_6340669_n.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5415670299515766898" /><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">Lily went to visit the doctor and he was really impressed that she was sitting up on her own before turning 6 months :) I was pretty proud of my little Lily Bean! Once she got sitting down she started propping her self up on all fours! My mom says I shouldn't be in a hurry to get her crawling, but I'M NOT...baby girl does it all on her own. Here's a picture of her on all fours.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgnTWUhpd13f8eGDKfumpLR4wvRBVi4kG1Oj4UCVHxZ-ah5KC9LFzaX75SGm9_0KDizJt8dwaTW6aM076jMIanLnqadPt3kjMA4skEtjFTAfJqXv-NJlbLjJVoZIw0nA4SEV-gqPkDGzdg/s320/15443_1280016677058_1129260299_889624_1045805_n.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5415671015593673634" /><div style="text-align: left;">She gets up and rocks back and forth, she doesn't go anywhere though. She's able to scoot backwards sometimes. She's getting stronger and stronger everyday!</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">So, Thanksgiving was also this month. Lily slept through most of it and since she wasn't eating solids during that time she didn't get to taste anything, but she did get to wear a pretty dress and an adorable romper, and she got to see some extended family.</div><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiTxo0pLD-qGC-jwDsFWAF8-Zjq9ziwrgf7UK0wB7VUCtnO4qK1bTgRIB7i44AP3OEBSNk0ZCl3vMPot2kJ46xYWUo1tA1M2eDmQ-BSHlovrubcjvcklwGBfFJB9_gjXVS0UT8G-epp_-o/s320/IMG_0722.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5415673177161428386" /><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEipv9BCU6dsgMFTuXF4g6Nh-g_uAKo5z5k7hQ7UyjJoH_INRs2i0EvhNBzlkmrmOCR2fzK7klzpKsA0F5gsGV4Qc0Rq5AL0G045QCQ01YInO2dPt8gHV7VaMVMOMxedYK7FWZsENwLyTVU/s320/IMG_0741.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5415673184448311762" /><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjT7fbpyLh-XIBlTKa12ePDQLQKQjl2y5Nx2Qj4ulVNfCClYByQlLgWMUNnBqT8G3wj-EhZ87a5EWIcGqwmJMuXvszAyGXs3E-lT64Iv_549z1EGDueYI0TAF2DbsRcHSui_70khX8BNoU/s320/IMG_0744.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5415673197196691826" /><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">A couple weeks shy of turning 6 months I went ahead and started Lily on solids. When she was four months old the doctor said she was a chubby girl and that I could skip cereal so I decided to go ahead and do that. I'm still breastfeeding as her main form of food, but I have already introduced sweet potatoes and she's currently on green beans. All of her food is going to be homemade. Next up will be pears and then peaches, then we'll go back to veggies and alternate again. Here's a picture of her first feeding. She eats like she's done it a million times! She's pretty good at keeping her hands back and out of the way.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgB8I41Y84b9N23Py0-lSUkt0U-91a88mVhGNnJNdmcmY-O3lrRLJA82WQOLTbyVhPFK5npYAdUOTcyoOAag-2UCL8pB1HHBcWKbesXy7tQ4wgXncsYxVWr5Fe0QDOUyfyU_cDnl-YApSA/s320/IMG_0814.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5415674762666382242" /><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div></div><div style="text-align: left;">She did really well and I did post a video at the end of the blog for your enjoyment :)</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">Also a new fun thing this month was her new swing! It took me 3 months to get my hands on this swing. My dad put it up outside and the very next day it got really cold and it hasn't been swinging weather since! I'm glad she got to enjoy it for that day though, and I'm sure we'll have tons of swinging days soon.</div><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjz6MLPMIPMZMtdT6AvOA__OXCd7hPVhOPskYGt8Hsr_MPLDwz-W5SCGrOBHUtQ4telBYvRWVJmbyyC9cRLY5dICQ-Iy1LvxR15go_FXDY93pC06wc-_nurHZvb7-s2mgPLHnh3hTM-YCQ/s320/IMG_0786.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5415675657431520482" /><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">So to cap on her fifth month Lily got her first illness :( Nothing too bad and the doctor said in her first year she would (and should) get sick 3 times. She mostly just has the sniffles. She's on a decongestant and she's doing well. She hasn't been waking up too much. </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">Lily will be turning 6 months in a couple of days and I can hardly believe that it's been 6 months since I was in the hospital and we were meeting for the first time. It's amazing how fast the time has passed. I look at her and I can't even believe how big she's gotten and how much she can do now. It's like I blinked and she's this totally different baby. No longer just a little blob. She has her own little personality and her own little quirks. Lately she does this thing with her right arm, when she gets excited she flaps it like a little chick. It's hilarious...I'll have to get it on video. She's also babbling A LOT...she's going to be a chatter box like her mommy! Sometimes I swear I hear words, hahaha...but she's still a long way away from saying words and KNOWING what she's saying. In a couple of days she has her 6 month portraits. I'll make sure to post pictures once I've taken them. Hopefully I wont go a whole month without writing again. </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">Also, I'd like to say congratulations to my good friends Dawn Graustein, Ceci Garza, and Connie Reinhardt. All of these awesome gals welcomed new babies. Dawn had baby Abby, Ceci had baby Delilah, and Connie welcomed her second baby, baby Austin. All cuties!!! Lily has a bunch of new friends :)</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">We're looking forward to Christmas and hopefully we'll have a lot of pictures to post!</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">Here's that video of her eating!</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.blogger.com/video.g?token=AD6v5dx4o7v4uq9yeGFv-mSLq0dY1rK1npMfgpqbPCUuROI3dpzkxqtnTXTBhEV3wvWn1ijW44OWru09-4MXI4drew' class='b-hbp-video b-uploaded' frameborder='0'></iframe>MonTheMomhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08144234631061487641noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7843611325483495265.post-43648898208727945492009-11-17T21:28:00.000-08:002009-11-17T21:55:38.916-08:00Lily is 5 months!<div style="text-align: left;">This last month has been the most eventful by far! She's become so much more vocal and engaging and she's got such a unique personality. I can see a little human emerging, no longer just a baby blob. She recently started laughing, which is just amazing! She's also big enough for things like doorway bouncers, exersaucers, jumpers...things like that. She also just started to sit on her own! I sit her up but she stays there for a good while. She's also starting to recognize Dex. She follows him with her eyes and she reaches for him. The other day she was just pounding his back and grabbing his fur and he just laid there. It was so cute! I love to see her learn new things. She loves getting her little baby massages too! After every bath I massage her little body and she just smiles and squeals the whole time. I think she's beginning to be ticklish!</div><div><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj3pJTjmRpzvYZIJg0CHaSfRjA0b1yllkpQ0vZsEYyjyh-VZc5mcbYOYpA9Xmt8vc7fPsBKeREDVxKtYQtXoStHyZ84pxk27p7vk6P-53llBJECxFiBpCyOXHQ8KBJQSMl-qRy07bWqFeI/s320/IMG_0612.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5405314162519792978" /><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiGX-FvnoUzWLVyBwp6rVlOQITeOO-r8H1B6Hmq44AX7qLbvGJalxMTCptDU2wD7az2BjihvuqURPYHmQ-T-dusfHllB-bKwm8PiRQ0dNPvw4LQ8rYLW5wxU2deAdWKRKYJGhQfdFMtlsg/s320/IMG_0643.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5405314155770589538" /><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div></div><div>This month I took her to meet Santa (twice)! Every Monday we get together for a "playdate" and a few times a week we go for walks in the park. I just know they will be best of friends. I know I've said it before, but it's so nice to have someone with a baby the same age as Lily. Jill and Braden have become like family to us. Me and Lily are so lucky to have such great people in our lives. We love them! Here are some of my favorite B and L moments!!!</div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Just a few weeks old</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><img style="display:block; The third month had the most transitions. When she turned 3 months she moved into her own room. As the month has progressed she's gradually dropped her night time feeding. She usually makes it 9 -12 hours straight before waking up! Most recently (at about 3.5 months) she turned from her back to her tummy! Baby girl has strong core muscles! I have adorable video of her doing it!<div><iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.blogger.com/video.g?token=AD6v5dzK7DTroGTBf4czBosSpzrTuCkOJAdB8nkfd00gtBGladdCnpj4Rxu_Rcy3aEQrZXdi902p1vW5sQM7ma02_Q' class='b-hbp-video b-uploaded' frameborder='0'></iframe></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div>Also in the third month my mom, my grandma, Lily, and I took professional photos. All four generations. I know it will be a great memory for Lily when she's older. My grandma was 50 when I was born and my mom (Lily's grandma) is also 50 (next month). The day we went in to take the pictures we also got to take some of Lily by herself, and they came out so cute! Below are the pictures.<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 256px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiy31VW6tdIcNP4AkSr5N3lVgEGQmzl1iRfqmHRm4yJ_C1MtoarfCxuh-r9d3G-qP8PYgHOSxCgSKSo_39Wkp2FAPY74AyCJOfMpdBQFPlF2-vgxMcA4ay45TSxokrTjym7n603qTDLZNk/s320/7533_1235521404704_1129260299_751591_7306761_n.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5394520461823465810" /><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 256px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEii5hwWBljDiBqnIxQwyFzvRdytv96jax4nqwi9DMdddoxjJQGSL7jBahKFHPpSCmxmI_9kMd4HgBEDU6qW4DC-6hu_1cDtyA6tX8tLAoHes3MM4DONwOWkbOlj6QWts_Cl3XuBFkuBDN4/s320/7533_1235521484706_1129260299_751592_2606753_n.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5394520685563735618" /><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 256px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhoMAU34Pho9xmv2BFdhe51Fezt6o-PrmAnSdatRtLr5GYgYEdyXf8dVjKT77_TTqwO3yGAzXyRfupIoNqX5kJYUtJwKHJbwawBIn2Z5_RAUPfQ8gh1as-cw3nsTY6X-1T48JIlevdolFc/s320/7533_1235521524707_1129260299_751593_3747537_n.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5394520694273840386" /><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 256px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1Urzas_HdjQO6e3r2LbQhsJJyGlt9z4UBk5tW68z4zqqLY-d5BJWSTah0w4GH6NW3mb31Spda9ilJ96azuPLqkPQqmA9OAjzUt9KXn1q94vG2WrWrj-HTRwZ9yRvZkKQnMZYIYaSxiPY/s320/7533_1235521564708_1129260299_751594_7714948_n.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5394520700251151250" /><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 256px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh4Rc88frtppRBNsDYsxqecR870roWcoFvzUQDOgAMg8TXbwkDcSqRleFxtUazPxyKD6CfX8EtYGUfDSQ8vXH7pOjZhyqJl34a0DBimAWX42rgWt9zTHeHY7AiAyrcfY85YZirZkOkpypI/s320/7533_1235521884716_1129260299_751596_637492_n.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5394520718190180466" /><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 256px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj6UtngDW7frrHXMSI3A33D3ifinQK7qrRHc3nHq19IsoddLp2cRkrLvKEvoKbxEpprm246HuBwYTBkUVuBFnEdcg80RhiK_1NxpRIV1gLeoVGMoaZmwNqpfFhqmso9TjpzHHuF3e84nTM/s320/7533_1235521604709_1129260299_751595_2261186_n.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5394520709027114018" /><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div></div>MonTheMomhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08144234631061487641noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7843611325483495265.post-18794304314901837382009-10-04T20:46:00.001-07:002009-10-04T22:24:06.645-07:00Baptism Week<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /><br /></div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiuN1DrOPdoCkNZ4QlOvJiYHTMKr6qwL5vnX7GVFiuLH3ye77u56CLHnuSroxtdAfaYiLLMeL4wxHpkYzkBx6JVSXIX-Pb4O0u21KAL260KIHGKdkO0Jyaz529GPpkH4zbKOLJ8ltOR2_s/s1600-h/232323232%7Ffp43373%3Enu=3237%3E5%3C5%3E6--%3EWSNRCG=3289%3C-479;326nu0mrj.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiuN1DrOPdoCkNZ4QlOvJiYHTMKr6qwL5vnX7GVFiuLH3ye77u56CLHnuSroxtdAfaYiLLMeL4wxHpkYzkBx6JVSXIX-Pb4O0u21KAL260KIHGKdkO0Jyaz529GPpkH4zbKOLJ8ltOR2_s/s320/232323232%7Ffp43373%3Enu=3237%3E5%3C5%3E6--%3EWSNRCG=3289%3C-479;326nu0mrj.jpeg" /></a><div style="text-align: right;">Lily got baptized this week. She did so good! I took a bottle to the church and fed her when she fussed and then she ended up going right to sleep. She slept through the entire ceremony. It was so sweet :o) When I walked up to the priest I said "she's super asleep", hoping that he would be gentle with the pouring of the water, but no such luck. HE SOAKED her head, but she didn't even bat and eye! Then we stood in line and he came up and rubbed oil ALL OVER her little head, but she still didn't wake up! She woke up at the end of the ceremony when they rang some bells/chimes. She did very good, like the precious angel that she is. The baptism was separated into two ceremonies, one was on Tuesday and the other was Saturday. On Tuesday it was the anointment, she did ok that day. Lily is the luckiest baby to have such wonderful Godparents! Benny and Therese got her her plaid dress, her baptismal gown, her after party dress, a beautiful white embroidered blanket, an adorable white embroidered burp cloth for the ceremony, her little baptism candle and countless other goodies! I look forward to the day when Lily can spend quality time with them. It's such a blessing to have such wonderful people in my life and to be able to have them in Lily's life. They are truly a gift and we love them so much. Here are some pictures of little miss Lily during her big week!</div><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpWPfMl8tEMRQxQCf-K594IL9hyKM0DVhsumGP5-CR66BxpyeykhMXnlkZa4h8fda_Pv2YGRp5JtJaEWA-Wb0EjEqiwbCWRHYL_JJ9-u2ydgbTlpL4gTydj1YLNUJyX7RADV6ZnhUFRBs/s320/IMG_0120.JPG" /><br /><br /><div><br /></div><div>Today was a pretty low key day. I decided that after yesterday Lily needed a day to relax and just hang out at home. I took her into her nursery and sat her in her bumbo and we "played". I showed her some of her toys. She's never really played with anything before. The "baby keys" were a HIT! She's so cute I can hardly stand it! Everyday she learns more and more, but today was the first day that I really felt like she was really interacting with me and her surroundings. She reaches out for my hands and face. She follows things with her eyes and grabs at them. I sat her in her swing and my dad started talking to her and she just started chatting away! She's getting such a unique personality and it's awesome seeing how she changes everyday. She's so loved :o)<br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgJkuo4gI5-iF75W9TIhTLQKeqI1x_ooeauvRzungY-HtcSxezEjQVfcbRh0h80nBMueiyQiR2K6Bt2aA8vP3_0GA_DWsU5w4PnJTgL9Ew6Xl67gqXn5rVeHNAwmJaHYd7tRxWSKOQdTkQ/s1600-h/IMG_0075.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgJkuo4gI5-iF75W9TIhTLQKeqI1x_ooeauvRzungY-HtcSxezEjQVfcbRh0h80nBMueiyQiR2K6Bt2aA8vP3_0GA_DWsU5w4PnJTgL9Ew6Xl67gqXn5rVeHNAwmJaHYd7tRxWSKOQdTkQ/s320/IMG_0075.JPG" /></a><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjaT6YZKJlmi8mNJK8AivikUainhKQ91eY2oZLoz-Iqjywo2O_7Xbx9IAQxj1FIGT4A_kHi8260WSRbur6-dy9voj0Lkcx9wseterU12fhpmQdNoHmLAt1QY3LWyKDM9Cf2q-52o7ZMqik/s1600-h/IMG_0070.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjaT6YZKJlmi8mNJK8AivikUainhKQ91eY2oZLoz-Iqjywo2O_7Xbx9IAQxj1FIGT4A_kHi8260WSRbur6-dy9voj0Lkcx9wseterU12fhpmQdNoHmLAt1QY3LWyKDM9Cf2q-52o7ZMqik/s320/IMG_0070.JPG" /></a><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgG2ldoK0EFdmQfm1O2kPa1cI1r1KqlAqsqbbXkuBvlOaGISY7MsVO11onBNdb4qL-F2fUjOFcAL9gznwzgyBGfz45G_VpYk__t-oZH-VJXHDWCkCT_9Y2DJ3WdmQIpnAnVlhvV9EJEiEc/s1600-h/IMG_0180.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgG2ldoK0EFdmQfm1O2kPa1cI1r1KqlAqsqbbXkuBvlOaGISY7MsVO11onBNdb4qL-F2fUjOFcAL9gznwzgyBGfz45G_VpYk__t-oZH-VJXHDWCkCT_9Y2DJ3WdmQIpnAnVlhvV9EJEiEc/s320/IMG_0180.JPG" /></a><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGgALMEUgRhLjyp7hQ_o04qRWc8xwLb5FMnhUvSCGQbeN3QRr3swdM7K4rb_jNtIiiXUjBKGBfe2pVfOE_l0ChCV-XsdzH3f_rNAnz_N0tTPKr_93FVCcIKmIGdqOE-U1yrw0GEHtrJgs/s1600-h/IMG_0171.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGgALMEUgRhLjyp7hQ_o04qRWc8xwLb5FMnhUvSCGQbeN3QRr3swdM7K4rb_jNtIiiXUjBKGBfe2pVfOE_l0ChCV-XsdzH3f_rNAnz_N0tTPKr_93FVCcIKmIGdqOE-U1yrw0GEHtrJgs/s320/IMG_0171.JPG" /></a><br /></div>Here's some video of Lily with her keys and of little miss chatter box!<div><br /></div><div><br /></div><iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.blogger.com/video.g?token=AD6v5dyX8XVVdfCf5wMqwQi4F9l_JiiCj0cLgC1XOz1QcvW9vEPc9E9E7veC8yOFwQ7Oiis1OdHyVLZ7ys-gFxMFDQ' class='b-hbp-video b-uploaded' frameborder='0'></iframe><div><br /></div><div><br /></div></div><iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.blogger.com/video.g?token=AD6v5dx8881O8TO_puq0Exx1pf6PAsANOEsABKHOuHo0jxqcZHH8zria-IHxURfBCqU6nvX3ctN5gnN7-bI2av2R7A' class='b-hbp-video b-uploaded' frameborder='0'></iframe>MonTheMomhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08144234631061487641noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7843611325483495265.post-5378127494559061962009-09-30T22:14:00.000-07:002009-09-30T22:17:13.257-07:00New Camera = MORE pictures<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiowWhtMvCiLfKF09hk4cq0FkeCWMD_HxElYF-AuvUZHzGZM5RPtoIhD-Z-nRw-IZ-r9KjaGHdUp27XvVLxDdaN7uSgCuPaj6LYFMi07QZohcONKgJc4hs3T2nqvQ1066W-KTvaLSu8-Zo/s1600-h/7533_1230098269129_1129260299_735604_2970361_s.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiowWhtMvCiLfKF09hk4cq0FkeCWMD_HxElYF-AuvUZHzGZM5RPtoIhD-Z-nRw-IZ-r9KjaGHdUp27XvVLxDdaN7uSgCuPaj6LYFMi07QZohcONKgJc4hs3T2nqvQ1066W-KTvaLSu8-Zo/s200/7533_1230098269129_1129260299_735604_2970361_s.jpg" /></a>I got a present today! My mother in law got me a new camera. I'm super pumped because it has a fast shutter speed (I think that's what it's called). Anyway, it takes photos pretty quickly so I never miss a smile! I took a few pictures today, but I'll make sure to be taking PLENTY more!<br />

This past Monday my mom, me, my grandma, and of course LILY went to take some professional pictures. We wanted a picture with all four generations. I'm not sure how they came out, we'll get to see them on Monday. We also took some of Lily on her own. I think those came out cute, but again, I wont know until Monday.<br />
<br />
(Ugh, I changed the settings on my blog and now I'm not sure how to make the pictures I just added of Lily any bigger...either way enjoy!)<br />
<br />
This Saturday is Lily's baptism day! Her and Braden (and 3 other little ones) are all going to be baptized. After the baptism we're having a little get together at my parent's house. I'm already stressing about it! I hope I can get organized in time! I already have all the food and drinks, and supplies. It's just a matter of tying up lose ends. <br />
<br />
I'll try and post some pictures of the four of us and pictures of the baptism on Monday.MonTheMomhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08144234631061487641noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7843611325483495265.post-20641202622788133392009-09-23T19:32:00.000-07:002009-09-23T20:13:50.656-07:00Vent!!!!<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgnDTvgxzh7vpkysob7YIHXIkJTxNw86k-LqL31D7h-cD8I5VY0V4nJ7BNzhX1N5Vg_hP5Qx8sT_8emes-0bFtlkumGSKYm-qVeiDLm7Draqops0QlW5FHhl4Y2shsThyphenhyphenfDUiqN4Wf4grE/s1600-h/0002D_6.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgnDTvgxzh7vpkysob7YIHXIkJTxNw86k-LqL31D7h-cD8I5VY0V4nJ7BNzhX1N5Vg_hP5Qx8sT_8emes-0bFtlkumGSKYm-qVeiDLm7Draqops0QlW5FHhl4Y2shsThyphenhyphenfDUiqN4Wf4grE/s400/0002D_6.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5384862577465695666" /></a><br />Some people can be so rude! The other day I realized just how protective I have become of my precious Lily. I'll quickly give a summary of the scenario that really irked me:<div><br /></div><div>My mom (first time grandma) posted some pictures from Lily's 3 month portrait session. A woman that she went to high school with commented "Cute pictures...I guess". My mom, thinking she had to have been joking, responded with "You guess? Like, you guess, if you're into adorable, precious, gorgeous babies?". The woman then decided to respond with "I'm just saying that all babies are adorable in the eyes of their parents/grandparents". My mom then deleted the entire thread.</div><div><br /></div><div>I lost my sh*t!!! Who says that and why??? All mothers think their children are gorgeous, why would anyone decide it's their duty to burst that bubble? Not to mention, it's a baby! Sure we've all seen babies that are cute in their own way, but they are still CUTE. It's a baby for god's sake. As a first time mother, I take pictures of everything and anything and I post pictures almost everyday. Excessive? Probably! Do I make any apologies for it? NO! Why would I, it's a freakin' baby! Who am I hurting? I just can't believe that this woman saw the pictures and decided, "I'm going to tell this grandmother that 'I guess' her grandchild is cute"...why say anything at all? Why not just keep that to yourself. Ever heard of the saying "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all"? Why couldn't she just say "cute pictures" and leave it at that? I just look at my Lily and my heart swells and I'm overcome with LOVE. Knowing how I feel about my baby, I get how other mothers must feel about their children. Knowing that feeling I would NEVER say something so half-hearted to another mother/grandmother/baby lover. It's just mean spirited and rude. I know Lily is gorgeous, I don't have to "guess", but it still really bothered me. That's all I have to say about that. I had to get it off my chest.</div><div><br /></div><div>Now onto something else, I took some footage of Lily during tummy time. I feel like I was so lucky to have her as my soundboard. Always asking "are you feeling like...", or "do you think it's normal when...", she was 2 weeks ahead of me so we were experiencing all of the same things. We would go to swim aerobics and go walking in the park. Then (obviously) we had our babies! Braden was born 6/10, Lily was born 6/17...exactly one week apart! It's easy to ask my mom friends, but to have someone with a baby that is the same age is so nice because a lot of times my other mom fr<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 200px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiBxPuEAHDdLkES9ajCZc7_9MaxOgAMpYpYfgMcaJTGDOvLtOMIsA3iNOga5WrllYiKFxS48-2-VBbylyFiGRjbmPrG0BdY88h8w127eo0BO2QFDq_AR5WMYMPHjN_wi16cL_yuiPTTNcE/s200/Photo0769.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5381534502289156914" />iends forget their timelines or just can't remember. Anyway, it's just so fun and comforting. Every Monday we get together and they have a playdate :o) More like a stare off or a nap session, but as they get older they will play. Today I felt like they were recognizing each other. They are so precious! Today Jill and I decided to do a Parent/Child work out. It was fun for a bit, but the babies weren't having it for too long so we had to call it quits. We'll attempt it again soon. <div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhD_pD0Bo7UHr7XfwVvMEheOhcU3f5XwuaXfrU7PGSF9LWOdTgLFlaNbqq_ODd60W7AsWObtGTiTNKBzQJC7vp2wiMxEvXSWf7-bK7ifySLTbopzhNAe4YS2u1Ok6mYQY_6AsHjbKdQies/s200/Photo0787.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5381536766544770338" /></div><div>So this Thursday Lily will be 3 months!!!! I can hardly believe it! Everyday she looks and feels bigger and bigger. She does new things and never fails to surprise me. For a while she has been OBSESSED with her hands. They are in her mouth, she looks at them, she holds them together...she's</div><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgja-1yDJxgQ9pJ_-R_4IfSjaTqf_EKjKwY3v3psdoXB8a51YhOyp5I5W_KNehngCbNV47cOYs8AZtiE9D1sIwfMy5FbfoJXnRVPViO_RW-AylXBIOTHgObhV3-iyH-YTk4_1mmPeMPn78/s200/Photo0788.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5381536932148671490" /><div> always doing something with her hands. These past few days though she has been starting to find her feet. It's the cutest thing! She picks them up, she kicks them like crazy, and she rubs them on each other. We say she's gonna start a fire, hahaha! This Thursday she also has her 3 month pictures scheduled. I'm taking her to a photo studio that is pretty kid friendly and affordable. I'm doing her costume and a super cute green dress. I hope she cooperates! I also hope her costume fits!</div><div><br /></div><div>Now for the BIG MILESTONE!!! Lily is officially in her nursery! She's always slept in her crib so I knew the transition wouldn't be too hard, but I'm still so shocked! Her whole first month she slept in her pack n play, and her second month she slept in her crib, but always in my room. Well, I gave us a goal that by her 3rd month she would be sleeping in her room. I got the crib set up in the nursery and put her down last night and she slept all night! So, along with sleeping in her room, she slept from 10 - 6:30 (it was a long day and the schedule was a little off, so she went to bed a little later). She would have slept longer, but I woke her up because I HAD to feed her. My body is not used to going that long without her eating. After she ate I put her back in her room and she slept until 10! So the goal was reached four days before her 3rd month. I'm so proud of us :o)</div>MonTheMomhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08144234631061487641noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7843611325483495265.post-28095968268865990382009-09-05T19:47:00.001-07:002009-09-05T20:07:02.544-07:00Loving the Zzzzz's<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhMzXLKqGN6Q1QkT6f5P47UzA4z3dwy8es0S35Ll6Z1grcptb13smbSwyIVasLxuLV3dZBCGXO1PbYYnkuj17Nsu-q-KYLFCJfojstsovrw4IDRj0fsmao1uSA-f5atJ4_eFdOp706b5hc/s1600-h/7533_1211106634350_1129260299_670307_1790171_n.jpg"><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 200px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhMzXLKqGN6Q1QkT6f5P47UzA4z3dwy8es0S35Ll6Z1grcptb13smbSwyIVasLxuLV3dZBCGXO1PbYYnkuj17Nsu-q-KYLFCJfojstsovrw4IDRj0fsmao1uSA-f5atJ4_eFdOp706b5hc/s200/7533_1211106634350_1129260299_670307_1790171_n.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5378185051387864146" /></a><br />Since day one I have been very persistent with trying to establish a routine for Lily. When she came home from the hospital I made sure there was a distinguishable difference between night and day. I made sure day was bright and made sure that no one whispered and let the dogs bark if they wanted. Then I would make sure that during the night everything stayed dark, no noise, and the dogs are silent. That was a big help in getting a routine in place. For the first few weeks, since she slept so much, her "bed time" was 11 o'clock. The next few weeks we moved it up to 10 o'clock. Now for the past 3 weeks we've been making bed time between 9 - 9:30. She usually wakes up between 3 - 4 am to feed, but then goes down again and we wake up for the day between 7 - 8 am. It's so nice having a schedule. I was so afraid when I was pregnant that I would be sleep deprived. I think that because that was one of my big concerns, I was super determined to make sure we got a good NIGHT'S rest. Lily gets 10 - 11 hours of sleep a night and I get my 7 - 8 hours, which leaves me with a few hours "baby-free" in the evening. It's the best, it keeps me happy and rested and HAPPY MOMMA = HAPPY BABY! Along with her bed time routine she has always slept in her own "bed". Up until a few weeks ago she was sleeping in her "pack n play", but for the last few weeks she's been sleeping in her crib. Lily has her moments, but I thank my lucky stars EVERYDAY that she's such an easy little girl! If I could give anyone any advice it would be to stick to a routine, they get the hang of it in no time!MonTheMomhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08144234631061487641noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7843611325483495265.post-39633316461425862052009-09-01T15:18:00.000-07:002009-09-01T15:50:08.689-07:00Lily Talks and LaughsSome days I just can't believe how absolutely adorable my baby is! Always up for having a conversation with anyone who will listen. She's adorable, she puckers her lips and lets out a string of "aahh-goo"s and "coo"s and just plain "ooo"s. She also lets out some squeaks and squeals. I love it! I ask her about her day and what she was dreaming during her naps and what she wants to do and I swear she's answering me. She's absolutely a cutie pie! She's also developing a lot of leg strength and back/neck strength. The other day when I put her to sleep (on her tummy) she woke up on her back! I'm sure it's a lot harder to get from her back to her tummy though. She also really surprised me the other night, I laid her down with her head at the 12 o'clock position and then by morning she was at the 3 o'clock position! Also she holds her head up really well in her bumbo and when she's on her tummy, like she's doing a cobra pose.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgb3TMzd68G5KvHWbi3w9oXbk5i3lbPDpXTLDfeYn1smmGGRgG0oqI9RIyKht-c-V6MxRJxtWdq7OKW1ye-yfRnxarYoafYF9HZutRmBFy9iAVZ16CaBtnur7l5X6hAz2UPbjxyfd5shJQ/s1600-h/lilyscostume.jpg"><img style="margin: 0pt 0pt 10px 10px; float: right; cursor: pointer; width: 135px; height: 177px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgb3TMzd68G5KvHWbi3w9oXbk5i3lbPDpXTLDfeYn1smmGGRgG0oqI9RIyKht-c-V6MxRJxtWdq7OKW1ye-yfRnxarYoafYF9HZutRmBFy9iAVZ16CaBtnur7l5X6hAz2UPbjxyfd5shJQ/s200/lilyscostume.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5375488219979368162" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFnViPHqNe_eMJDeb64YW-Tras5p9G2cjqjGRUqweNQEWGm3cWmtK3xmo4wPOUctoTXxreq2KEBfiMINrG2eUcNtTjUPln9n0Zw3XKOlHGaQkcSKc4clgOKjFAsbYIsbPpghbTSIpSq84/s1600-h/photo3.jpg"><img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer; width: 150px; height: 200px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFnViPHqNe_eMJDeb64YW-Tras5p9G2cjqjGRUqweNQEWGm3cWmtK3xmo4wPOUctoTXxreq2KEBfiMINrG2eUcNtTjUPln9n0Zw3XKOlHGaQkcSKc4clgOKjFAsbYIsbPpghbTSIpSq84/s200/photo3.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5375492101211449906" border="0" /></a>I ordered her Halloween costume pretty early so that I could make sure to get it on time and it came it. It's so cute :o) She's going to be a flower. That's a picture of the costume but it's obviously not her. She's not able to sit up on her own, but hopefully we can prop her upright for pictures. I'm going to get her pictures (3months) taken in her costume and hopefully be able to send out Halloween cards by early October. I also received her Baptism dress too. Therese ordered it from Pottery Barn Kids and it's gorgeous.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi5bUbxRBL5P2mComgQCLbnxE10lPPchDnzGlyj4po7OUJl8-D1xRxsYAoFkW01WNcQdWt0jrlVQjeemXCxfcZgT1CSEImTe0zNlefuqp-EBpU3arDnPzEBVrtDO5VuaSuelpqt3I3-lNQ/s1600-h/photo.jpg"><img style="margin: 0pt 0pt 10px 10px; float: right; cursor: pointer; width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi5bUbxRBL5P2mComgQCLbnxE10lPPchDnzGlyj4po7OUJl8-D1xRxsYAoFkW01WNcQdWt0jrlVQjeemXCxfcZgT1CSEImTe0zNlefuqp-EBpU3arDnPzEBVrtDO5VuaSuelpqt3I3-lNQ/s200/photo.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5375492250928925554" border="0" /></a><br />OOOHHH also, we've established a great sleep schedule! It's so nice!!! I bathe her at 8:30, feed her, and put her to bed by 9:30. She sleeps pretty much all night until about 7:30am. She currently only has one feeding, and it's always at around 3:30 or 4:00. I'm hoping to keep bed time at 9:30 for the next 3 weeks then start moving it up to 8:30. I usually go to bed at around 11:00 so that hour and a half to myself at night is such a nice little break. I can read a book or watch tv...just unwind. I've said it before and I'll say it again, "THANK GOD FOR EASY BABIES!"MonTheMomhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08144234631061487641noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7843611325483495265.post-59133038305119385472009-08-22T10:13:00.000-07:002009-08-22T10:52:37.042-07:00Lily in her swingI hadn't posted a video in a while. This is Lily in her swing. She likes it for like 15-20 minutes at a time and then she's over it! Bella is in the video too, she is obsessed with Lily! I swear she thinks she's her baby. Enjoy! (ignore my obnoxious baby talk!)<br /><iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.blogger.com/video.g?token=AD6v5dw4JXnaInYtyESf8D9rlpwMzbhFyz7mlYjm-dqH1ikhnk04AcgZb_H_0yvubsMUBih9GV2HIMkZtDxm5vJAVA' class='b-hbp-video b-uploaded' frameborder='0'></iframe>MonTheMomhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08144234631061487641noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7843611325483495265.post-14346914056194440692009-08-21T08:59:00.000-07:002009-08-21T09:29:04.231-07:00Lily's 2 Month Doctor's Visit<div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhjvjq9Zkl4u8Rkk5S1LGVAQpjc_OPnLVTftbKSiOTeOrrorjZTpiD3oGiABTPjTNKrSXfJzfHTYvSyIUv84cAzbOdZZbGzfvdGRhQ2khFgbAxGOCj2ROv79y7vbaRZaOoA_b4pa1wOBQg/s1600-h/photo.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5372452625366545458" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 200px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 150px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhjvjq9Zkl4u8Rkk5S1LGVAQpjc_OPnLVTftbKSiOTeOrrorjZTpiD3oGiABTPjTNKrSXfJzfHTYvSyIUv84cAzbOdZZbGzfvdGRhQ2khFgbAxGOCj2ROv79y7vbaRZaOoA_b4pa1wOBQg/s200/photo.jpg" border="0" /></a> Lily turned 2 months on Monday! I can hardly believe how big she's getting. I took her to the doctor for her 2 month vaccines. They weighed her and she's 12lbs. 1 oz. and she's 22.25 inches (compared to the 7lbs. 8oz. and 19 inches when she was born!). The doctor said that she is normal for her length and ABOVE normal for weight. Looks like momma's milk is doing it's job ;o) I asked the doctor if it was ok and what it means to be "above normal", he said it was fine and that she's just one pound over the average and that all it means is that I have a "gordita", hahaha...my little gordita! <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhdWxS-SjRRSNmaP6FQ_kHjsyG4NTsejlPFAkZjCT9AmlONo1Rysd-JOwKiMYQoxmS6lfQ24Fjv5MemeclqhyphenhyphenYC3NewNnvOuPKDKuBM1JeT_rwojg01NwVZowacS0Jda7UDUwkIaL55zi0/s1600-h/photo1.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5372454314370964146" style="FLOAT: right; MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; WIDTH: 150px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 200px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhdWxS-SjRRSNmaP6FQ_kHjsyG4NTsejlPFAkZjCT9AmlONo1Rysd-JOwKiMYQoxmS6lfQ24Fjv5MemeclqhyphenhyphenYC3NewNnvOuPKDKuBM1JeT_rwojg01NwVZowacS0Jda7UDUwkIaL55zi0/s200/photo1.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><br />After weigh in she got her immunizations, 3 shots and one oral. It was so heartbreaking! She was happy as a clam when they were giving her the oral one, I'm guessing it was sweet. She was all smiles, being her usual cute self, and then BAM!!! the nu<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-gU5bJ7BnL9Y8geV1g_mq_woaBshRPeyta4UAc69RQu_7rQ-Ys4h_TcoRccU9ld6oHLpXCU0AX5faXre0zEtiafAU06C8O31J7Qs9e1OnAWDAlHPHXX9pN3CNtoou-8CxeyEBz8Aq2hg/s1600-h/photo3.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5372453741669562306" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 150px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 200px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-gU5bJ7BnL9Y8geV1g_mq_woaBshRPeyta4UAc69RQu_7rQ-Ys4h_TcoRccU9ld6oHLpXCU0AX5faXre0zEtiafAU06C8O31J7Qs9e1OnAWDAlHPHXX9pN3CNtoou-8CxeyEBz8Aq2hg/s200/photo3.jpg" border="0" /></a>rse stabbed the needle into her thigh (I'm being dramatic). She got 2 in one leg and honestly those weren't that bad. She did cry, but got over it right away. It was the final one that must have really hurt...even I cried! She did the silent cry for like 5 whole seconds then let out the loudest scream and then a cry. She cried for a while afterwards too. That's when I cried. Once she got over it she was back to her normal self. She never got a fever and slept like she usually does.<br /><br /><br /><br /></div></div><div><div>In other news, I scheduled her baptism! Lily will be baptized early in October. No details on the web since the page is public and I don't want any creeper/kidnappers showing up! I honestly don't know when I would have gotten around to it if my friend Jill hadn't done it. When she told me Braden was being baptized and that they did 6 per mass I thought it would be nice for us to do it together. Jill and I were pregnant together and our babies are exactly one week apart. We picked Benny and Therese as god parents. Therese, Benny, Adam, and I will be attending classes in September to prepare us for the Baptism. I'm really excited about this! There are a lot of people who haven't gotten a chance to see/meet Lily and this will be a great opportunity. She truly is such a blessing, I want everyone to have the "Lily Experience"!</div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div>MonTheMomhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08144234631061487641noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7843611325483495265.post-22523355914870995812009-08-14T14:06:00.000-07:002009-08-14T14:26:45.493-07:00Lily's 8 weeks!<div style="text-align: left;">Lily is 8 weeks old (she'll be 2 months on the 17th). I can hardly believe so much time has passed from the day I had her! She's so much more alert and she's engaging more. She recognizes faces/voices...well I think she does because she smiles when she hears or sees us. She's loving bath time and she's sleeping really well. For the past 5 weeks she's been sleeping on her tummy, which I know is not recommended, but she loves to sleep that way. It's the only way she'll sleep longer than 2 hours! I'm totally in love with her and all her little quirks. She has the cutest little side ways smile and a dimple in her right cheek that is so adorable. Her neck control is amazing! She's also discovered her hands! She can't keep them out of her mouth!!! She's going in for her 2 month shots next week. I'm a little nervous, but I hear it's not too bad. I think I'm more nervous for me than I am for her! I hate to see her cry :o( Here are some pictures of my little Lilykins :o)<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgek9X3C_STm9qwkQqaTP1PxK-_8Ne6_SU09sZQiTJGFmOa7xT_iUhPNMuRJFSZ6AwruuDYxS_dIdf7k1nJdkLqfUlNAU8Q3rpvX36ttRO_da6I6HK54up-oqRfzOq1FFLj5hSsv6wZBns/s1600-h/whome.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 158px; height: 210px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgek9X3C_STm9qwkQqaTP1PxK-_8Ne6_SU09sZQiTJGFmOa7xT_iUhPNMuRJFSZ6AwruuDYxS_dIdf7k1nJdkLqfUlNAU8Q3rpvX36ttRO_da6I6HK54up-oqRfzOq1FFLj5hSsv6wZBns/s200/whome.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5369932561277809154" border="0" /><span style="font-weight: bold;"></span></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEieZzHPa13asdrj-1LelTkiAqmFf-Mw_gKFjZiIt6xVVriUdkl61NbQOjdj5Fny22oaFxuyfz5PDB3aUDddzJeuYwqbw4UIqv8z14mC1U7vFqrSxkU4ozmazPZP3RuPUAffm3cPeR3gTdM/s1600-h/sweetdreams.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 150px; height: 200px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEieZzHPa13asdrj-1LelTkiAqmFf-Mw_gKFjZiIt6xVVriUdkl61NbQOjdj5Fny22oaFxuyfz5PDB3aUDddzJeuYwqbw4UIqv8z14mC1U7vFqrSxkU4ozmazPZP3RuPUAffm3cPeR3gTdM/s200/sweetdreams.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5369932034815269938" border="0" /></a><br /></div><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhSgGW71uvJ92Uu_UQLJ9RTJJaQSVqpXWKfAoXeQktvGVo2fpsnw57FCwX0wB3ANTIQi6vTW-6IZTIp6RNx6PEe2KeGn8RX7CGbpdUrLLMUCUSRdkmmUWi5flTd7OOKmO5bTUPY56OzFqo/s1600-h/smile.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 150px; height: 200px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhSgGW71uvJ92Uu_UQLJ9RTJJaQSVqpXWKfAoXeQktvGVo2fpsnw57FCwX0wB3ANTIQi6vTW-6IZTIp6RNx6PEe2KeGn8RX7CGbpdUrLLMUCUSRdkmmUWi5flTd7OOKmO5bTUPY56OzFqo/s200/smile.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5369932032522707106" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjYofoc7Q15ZuitoIjEZQYCgpTRMl84zytZPiLdinjsP1qYjO_PiNQe8pmuyXYIiPmHWW9W7IK6URrmbp3cdWOhnxkOqQMKYh71Byt9wRjuBdXD_rT0bXW8zXHEBDA5_2eFgaHh2FyTHYQ/s1600-h/sillylily.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 150px; height: 200px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjYofoc7Q15ZuitoIjEZQYCgpTRMl84zytZPiLdinjsP1qYjO_PiNQe8pmuyXYIiPmHWW9W7IK6URrmbp3cdWOhnxkOqQMKYh71Byt9wRjuBdXD_rT0bXW8zXHEBDA5_2eFgaHh2FyTHYQ/s200/sillylily.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5369932024177914882" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjyxuD02smlD9S6Y_erxnBfbD9w5Pv-A31HB_oQIi4ZRAyZEAQ4SpYVv5SQQ9B9mxalNohxET3yKO3FbBwMTZ-KqRGLUiLD8IRqm5YxwEKkh-i8zCvxlBQC1mnAs74mAuXwYNivXynIcpY/s1600-h/chub.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 150px; height: 200px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjyxuD02smlD9S6Y_erxnBfbD9w5Pv-A31HB_oQIi4ZRAyZEAQ4SpYVv5SQQ9B9mxalNohxET3yKO3FbBwMTZ-KqRGLUiLD8IRqm5YxwEKkh-i8zCvxlBQC1mnAs74mAuXwYNivXynIcpY/s200/chub.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5369932020052662578" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjdf_q4zaz-cvAnSrFH-xlEICx2-QhJqmIoIaYQIIpOccI-Zrmx8VXO03rhM6uciyIYMlLG-Ab_JFiNyBNITHEydI5HhNjY5PmuslAKLnfe-GjGZ0WCw58SNtr-Old7MIvw0drZ9QisRd4/s1600-h/ballerina.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjdf_q4zaz-cvAnSrFH-xlEICx2-QhJqmIoIaYQIIpOccI-Zrmx8VXO03rhM6uciyIYMlLG-Ab_JFiNyBNITHEydI5HhNjY5PmuslAKLnfe-GjGZ0WCw58SNtr-Old7MIvw0drZ9QisRd4/s200/ballerina.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5369932012153386770" border="0" /></a><br />In the last picture she's wearing the first thing I bought when I found out it was a girl :o) I already bought her halloween costume, she's going to be a FLOWER (because she's Lily) She's going to get her 3 month portraits taken in her costume so that I can send out cute Halloween cards! Also in September my mom, grandmother, Lily, and I are going to take 4 generation pictures. Those should be really nice. I hope to update this blog more frequently! How did I get so lucky :o) She's so adorable, I kiss her a million times a day! It's all I can do to keep from eating her up. She's starting to coo and smile and she's also trying to laugh (see the video). She's doing really well with her sleeping, she has her moments, but for the most part we're getting some good rest. Her neck is getting stronger, she can hold her head up on her own when I sit her up. Bath time is 100 times easier now, she's starting to enjoy the relaxing aspect of it. I could go on and on about how wonderful she is! She truly is the best thing to ever happen to me. She's about to turn 6 weeks on Wednesday. I attached a video of my smiley girl :o) ENJOY<br /><iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.blogger.com/video.g?token=AD6v5dwR75fPJnmB0RZN6lsa9w9bgj5TD6P0Rsu4b2aDhIXKo2ZmjSNIx7vJ0uLb9qPXJrPjV3h2TS3h3i8ZM6kk7g' class='b-hbp-video b-uploaded' frameborder='0'></iframe>MonTheMomhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08144234631061487641noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7843611325483495265.post-42808123906386864112009-07-17T16:09:00.000-07:002009-07-18T09:41:50.969-07:00Lily's One Month OldLily is a month old today! Where has the time gone?!!? It seems like just yesterday I was saying "I think my water broke!". She's still such a good baby. We had to keep getting her to fall asleep, but it's hard because she gets cold and wakes up. She did best in the bear outfit and in our hands. I was so pleased with the belly cast picture too. I'm glad we did the belly cast, at first I didn't want to. We ended up doing it the day before my water broke! It's a good thing I changed my mind. She continues to be an easy baby and we feel so blessed to have her in our lives. I can't believe I even lived before I had Lily...I swear I was born to be her mom.</div>MonTheMomhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08144234631061487641noreply@blogger.com6
