I got my maternity pictures back today.  I really liked them, I hope Lily likes them one day too!  There were SOOOO many, but I narrowed it down to about 50 some.  I attached the link, so see them!

Doctor Visit & Photo Shoot

I went to the doctor yesterday.  Not as good of a visit as I would have hoped for...my blood pressure was a little high, they drew blood to check for anemia, my feet and ankles have been swelling like crazy, I have a small lump in my under arm (normal swollen gland),  I gained 4.5 lbs. (16 lbs. total).  We're going back Monday for an ultrasound and then again in 2 weeks.  Lily is doing well, her heart rate was good and her fetal movement was good as well.  After my doctor's appt. I went to the mall and got a dress for my pictures and then I also got Lily a lamb at Build a Bear.  It's so cute!  It has a recording of Lily's heart beat in it....ADORABLE.  After that I had lunch with my MIL and then went home to relax before pictures.

Pictures were so much fun!  I had a blast pretending to be a model, LOL!  Pretty sure Tyra would think I was fierce ;o)  Anyway I took half the pictures in a navy blue dress and then the other half I wore jeans and an open black cardigan exposing the bump.  Those were the most fun.  I had a bunch of pink balloons, I put a gift bow on my tummy, and I wrote "Lily" across my stomach.  I didn't get to see any of them.  I hope they look as good as I felt taking them.  He said he took 300!  I'm getting 30....wonder how he's going to narrow it down.  I can't wait to get them though.  Hopefully by next week.  The photographer is named Gus.  I found him through of friend of my younger brother's.  He's in school and does photography as a hobby.  He said he would do them for free but I'm gonna give him a little something for taking time out of his
schedule and being so sweet about it.  He found this really cute church in Pharr and we took the pictures there.  I really can't wait to see them!  I hope he didn't get my ankles in any of the pictures!  I had to take all my pictures barefoot because my shoes were way too tight!

My Super Sweet Mom :o)

My mom has been so great during my whole pregnancy. Everything I could ever hope she would be for me. She answers questions, eases my fears, and gets me a Blizzard if I want one :o) Yesterday she texted me that she got me a present, but I had to wait until today to get it. She got me a diaper bag! It's so cute! I'm so not into the pink thing. Nothing for Lily as of yet is pink, maybe a couple of dresses, but for the most part I stuck with purple, green, yellow, blue, and some pink here and there. Even my baby shower is not pink. So, the yellow diaper bag is perfect. THANKS MOM!

Me AND Lily are growing, growing, growing...

I'm a little over 30 weeks now, so about 7 and a half months. As you can see below my tummy is really expanding. It's sometimes a little painful when Lily's getting comfortable, especially in the rib area and mostly on my left side. This weekend I'm going to be getting my stuff together for my hospital bag. I have a list of things I'll need. I know for sure I need to pack her "coming home outfit", but I just don't know what I want her to come home in. It has to be something that she'll see later in pictures and think "wow, mom picked the cutest outfit for me to come home in". It really is a lot of pressure. My mom dressed me in the cutest pink ruffley dress with a matching headband and shoes....I looked adorable.

The video I posted below was so sweet! I got a still shot of her smiling. I can't believe how much I love her already. Her personality is just too cute and she's not even out yet. The other day I had to hit the brakes and I think it scared her because she started going nuts! I was thinking to myself "oh god, she's already a drama queen" :o) I can't wait for her to be here. It should be about 10 more weeks assuming I get to 40 weeks!

In the ultrasound I did I also got a shot of her lady parts, hahaha. You can see her cute little butt and her "girl parts"...more evidence that Lily is still Lily....not Lilo!

I had really wanted to take maternity pictures but I didn't really want to spend money since it's not like I'll be framing them and hanging them all over the house. It's more for a memory and to show Lily what she looked like when she was in my belly. I ended up finding a friend of a friend who said he would do it for free! He's going to do some fun outdoor shots with me next Monday. I told him I would only want digital copies. I'll make sure to post some after I take them. Well that's all for now. Next Monday is my next doctor's appointment and picture day...I'll make sure to update then!

LIly @ 30 Weeks

I posted a video of Lily at 30 weeks. It's not until after a minute that she does anything. She smiled a little, it's so cute :o) She's so freakin' adorable...I can hardly wait to meet her.

Doctor's Appointment Today

I had a doctor's appointment today, the first one in April.  It went well, it was just a basic check up.  I know this is going to sound weird, but I always imagined (before I was pregnant) that the doctor would check you "down there" every time.  Surprisingly enough, he's only checked once.  Sorry I'm sure that's TMI, but just had to share.  They do however, always check the baby's heart rate.  The beating sound is always music to my ears :o)  It's Lily saying "hey mom, I'm in here!".  So, in all I've gained 11.5 lbs, my blood pressure is normal, AND my blood sugar has been so good that the doctor said I can go down to testing every other day.  I think I'll keep testing daily though,  I think it helps me stay on top of my weight gain and Lily's weight gain.  I talked to the doctor again about NOT wanting to be induced.  Last time I told him "no matter what I say later I don't want to be induced".  I only say that because as women get more uncomfortable they sometimes ask to be induced one or two weeks early AND when women have GD they usually induce two weeks early to make sure the baby hasn't gotten too big.  I just want Lily to come into the world on her terms, so I'm going to do what I can to make sure it's her choice when she's delivered.  The doctor said as long and my GD stays under control he wont have to induce (so I really am going to stick to what I'm doing).  I think as long as I don't get put on insulin I'll be fine.

The nurse today said to me, "good job taking care of your belly"(no stretch marks...yet...YAY!).  That got me thinking, I really do make it a point to take care of my belly.  It all started New Years 2007 when I made the first resolution I've ever kept.  It was an easy one...moisturize my elbows every day.  With in months I became a moisturizing fool.  I moisturized my whole body twice a day every day.  By the end of the year I was using 4 different moisturizers and my routine was about 20 minutes long (This is still my routine).  It's almost like meditation time. After the nurse said that and I got to thinking about it I realized, once Lily is here I'm not going to be able to take my two 20 minute showers and then moisturize for another 20 minutes after my showers.  I wont lie, I'm kinda sad about it, I realize it wont be FOREVER though.  There will be a day when I can moisturize for 20 minutes again, but I'm making a promise to myself to AT LEAST moisturize my elbows everyday.  Not to mention I'm sure once Lily is here, moisturizing will be the last thing on my mind LOL!

Gorgeous Baby Lily!!!

The best time to get your 3D/4D ultrasound is 28 - 32 weeks...well yesterday I turned 28 weeks so I took a peek at Baby Lily (again) and she's super duper cute! I did the ultrasound on myself so the pictures could have been a lot clearer if I had had help, but it's ok you can still see her really well. She even gave me a little smile :o) I love her so much already!

I know her nose looks a little big, but that is to be expected...I'm applying pressure to the face, and also babies faces "grow into" their noses. I have complete confidence that she'll have a button nose...she could have NO nose and I'd still think she was the cutest thing to ever exist!

So, Lily is not the only one who is 28 weeks...I AM! I took a picture of myself in my maxi dress and my wedges. It was before dinner with a girlfriend, I was dressed up, so I figured PICTURE TIME! We went to dinner and then to get a cup of tea after. The lady at the counter first asked "how far along are you?" I answered "I'm 7 months" (most people don't get the 'weeks' thing), she responded "Wow, you're HUGE" then I said "Thanks, that's what I LOOOOOVE to hear" [sarcasm that she did not pick up on]. Seriously? Just because I'm pregnant doesn't mean I'm not a woman...no woman likes to hear "you're huge", also I'm not "HUGE"...I'm a normal size for 7 months! Well she wasn't done there, then she asks, "So, are you married?", I look at my wedding band and say "Yeah". What would she have done if I said "No, I'm not"? Some people... Anyway, take a look-see...

In other news, we finally registered. We went to Babies R Us, it took us 2 trips. So overwhelming! We decided only to register there, I also registered at Landofnod.com for the bedroom decor, but the most important stuff is at Babies R Us. We did our research and decided on the stuff we wanted ahead of time but even though we were "prepared" we were soooo not prepared. You just don't even know were to begin!

Well I guess that's all for now...wish me luck in my 3rd trimester...they say the Honeymoon phase of pregnancy is OVER, but I ask "when did it even begin!?!"
